Started sewing in late 2024. Didn’t really think much of it but the fact I enjoyed it, never really making it a creative priority. After months of not touching a sewing machine I decided to start experimenting again. This time for good. What I found to be most intriguing is the physical act of creation, cutting, collaging, sewing, gluing, dyeing, ripping.... you name it. I would considered myself someone who has tried a lot of weird techniques, although there’s many more I'll be dipping into at some point. Up until that point most of my creative work was done digitally. Now it is just about coming up with new patterns, fabric choices and arrangements, amongst others. When you see and feel one of my pieces you can tell immediately it’s not perfect and that’s okay. Each piece serves it’s function in the field while also being a conversion piece on a shelf if you would like. For now I will continue to make just about anything that sparks a need to be brought to life!
