* I thought this would be an interesting project to share. Once I finished this backpack I let it hang outside for about 2 weeks and then buried it in the ground and let grass grow into it for about a month. This is something I would like to do with more, or most of my projects, but the only down side is it takes longer for the product to be finished. The result on the other hand is a naturally weathered and unique looking bag. Really I would like to let the bag weather for longer to achieve a very worn look. I attached so pictures of the process and the bag during production and also pre and post weathering. BTW... this bag was made using all thrifted fabric, consisting of about 5 different kinds all 100% cotton fabric.

* the last couple of days I've been working on a belt. For the first one I thought it came out pretty good, the pattern, color and style is how I envisioned it would look, I executed on the idea. I think now I'm going to make a couple of different color ways.
Its funny I didn't think something like making a belt would take awhile, but I should have known everything I do takes long. Maybe some of you can relate but most of the time a lot of procrastination is happening. You go to sit down and you work for a little bit until you stop... but I feel that's when the new ideas set in, when your just sitting there.. light bulbs start to turn on and then your back at it.
